Landwirtschaftliches Zentrum für Rinderhaltung, Grünlandwirtschaft, Milchwirtschaft, Wild und Fischerei Baden-Württemberg

LAZBW is one of 9 governmental agricultural institutions in Baden - Württemberg belonging to the Ministry of Rural Affairs in Stuttgart and responsible for applied research in ruminant production, grassland management, dairy management, wildlife and fisheries and the knowledge transfer in this subjects to farmers, advisers and agricultural students.

LAZBW employs a total number of 150 staff organized in 7departments and 18 referates. These are occupied f.e. with sustainable dairy farming, cow and cattle breeding, water protection, grassland renovation, forage conservation, Natura 2000 and grassland ecology.

LAZBW is responsible for the basic education in dairy management and analyses milk and product quality of dairy products. Results of the scientific work are presented directly in many courses for farmers and students, via Internet with our homepages www.lazbw.de and www.gruenland-online.de, via newspapers and on conferences.

LAZBW will take part in all actions of WP1 ,WP 2 and WP3.
